Most students could use a helping hand when it comes to covering the cost of textbooks and supplies and 25 students will get that opportunity on Wednesday.

The Cosumnes River College Foundation and the Hawks Nest bookstore will be awarding textbook scholarships in the form of a gift card to the bookstore worth $300 each.

The drawing will take place on the fountain stage in front of the library, according to a campus flier.

Students enrolled in nine units or more are eligible to enter to win by picking up a raffle ticket between 8:30 a.m. and 12:15 p.m.  The drawing will be held at 12:30 p.m.

Most students must be present to accept their scholarship award, as only five of the available scholarships will be awarded to students who are not present for the drawing.

Free hotdogs and soda will be served to students from noon to 1 p.m., while supplies last.
