Idalys Aguirre, Sports Editor
Idalys Aguirre is the Sports Editor for The Connection. She is 19-years-old and majoring in journalism. She joined the staff because she wants to gain more hands-on experience, be apart of a newsroom and understand the culture, and bring Spanish written articles to the paper. After The Connection she wants to transfer to a four year university and move into a field that highlights her writing and reporting abilities in both English and Spanish. Outside of The Connection, she is interested in spending time with her family, watching sports, baking, reading and working as the assistant coach for the 14-Power Team for Spark Volleyball Club.
