As of Jan. 1, California raises its minimum wage to $16 per hour, expecting to see higher increases for fast food and healthcare workers in the coming months. Fast food workers will see an increase to $20 per hour and healthcare workers will see an increase ranging from $18 to $23, according to CalMatters.
